This Ancient Imperial China Dynasties Investigation History Stations or Presentation is one of my favorite new lessons because students anticipate what they will learn and link prior knowledge to create predictions!
This is a fantastic introductory and summative Ancient China Investigation lesson with students predicting what they will learn in the unit. Students analyze Ancient Chinese maps, charts, primary sources, and visuals. They build on what they see to make predictions and inferences about historical content that will be learned. This Ancient China Investigation lesson can be teacher-directed via PowerPoint or student-directed with printable resources and/or stations.
Here’s what you get:

Our World History Curriculum, including Ancient History lessons and Medieval History lessons, are key-concept based, focussing on the “big six” key concepts for social science, often referred to as GRAPES. By learning World History with key concepts as a filter, students will become familiar with the crucial attributes that have allowed ancient and medieval civilizations to prosper. Also, students will build a framework, scaffolding future learning with the key concepts that will be repeated throughout their academic careers.
